We arrived in Haines and stayed overnight to get the ferry on Aug 11th. Sleepy little town. Met a guy at the restaurant, a gold miner. The mine was shut down by the inspectors and he was heading out of town to Juneau, probably to hide. The picture below is the most beautiful place in Haines!

I'm rushing as I am very behind in the blog and want to get it updated. Met people from Quebec, that's the closest to home that we've met anyone.
