Yukon

The first set of pics are from Dawson Creek, BC. I didn't include them in the last post.

Mile "0" in Dawson Creek, BC
We stayed in 4 different places in the Yukon; Watson Lake, WhiteHorse, Burwash and Beaver Creek.  Not too much to report on this lag.  Then we went to Watson Lake, we saw quite a bit of wildlife like the herd of bison below.  There were several herds along the way.  The Kuhane Lake is the most beautiful aqua color.

Whitehorse was our next stop and no pictures, not too exciting.

Next we went to Burwash, Yk.

Fire Weed, along the highways
Out last stop before crossing into the US was Beaver Creek.  We went to a dinner theatre and it was pretty hocky, but the buses come from US and the place is packed with over 200 people.  It is about the Alaska Highway and boy when you see the road and how much work those men had to do make it, wow.  The road is in good condition, some whop de doos, rolls in the road, but over all not bad.  We are going to try to wait until we are back in Canada to get the windshield fixed, its creeping up.

Cracked Windshield
That's it for this update.  We are going to Chena Hot Springs today.  The weather is not great, cool, rainy, grey.  The hot springs should feel good.  I'll report on them later.

Cheers, nrm & bam

You're in the Great Lands now. Bears, yummy bison, hot springs, stunning sunsets, double-rainbows, aqua colored lakes, wee cabins, cracked windshield .... and more adventures yet to come (mother moose and calf, glaciers and mountains, Native cultures, Russian legacy and Gold Rush days).

Keep on keeping on Nancy Fun and Bill M. : )
